Established on August 17, 1990, Gereja Tiberias Indonesia stands as a testament to the vision of Pastor Yesaya Pariadji. He invested his own resources to bring this Pentecostal church to life. Gereja Tiberias initially thrived under the umbrella of Gereja Bethel Indonesia (GBI). It was then known as GBI Tiberias. However, a shift in GBI policy regarding local church names led to a pivotal moment. Pastor Pariadji made the decision to establish Gereja Tiberias as an independent synod. This bold move marked a new chapter in the church’s history. Gereja Tiberias is renowned for its emphasis on divine healing. This is a core element of their services, particularly through Holy Communion and anointing oil. The church’s mission extends beyond its walls. Gereja Tiberias has branches in major Indonesian cities like Jakarta, Bandung, Surabaya, and Manado. Its international presence reaches Singapore and Australia. One of Gereja Tiberias’s most vibrant ministries is the Boanerges Youth Ministry. This dynamic program caters specifically to young people. The church also houses the STT Tiberias and Tiberias Bible School. These institutions nurture spiritual growth. They equip members with a deeper understanding of the Bible. Gereja Tiberias observes five sacraments: baptism by immersion, Holy Communion, anointing oil, child dedication, and marriage. These practices play a vital role in the spiritual lives of its members. They strengthen their connection with God.
