Renacer en Dios offers a super exciting and attractive environment. Christian camps here focus on evangelization. They aim to help individuals accept Jesus Christ. He is their only personal savior. Renacer en Dios also builds believers. It helps them grow to the measure of the fullness of Christ. The church trains leaders. They emphasize working with young people. Games and Bible lessons are used.
Casa Central holds general meetings. These take place on Wednesdays and Saturdays at 8:30 PM. The address is Calle 43 N° 1031 in Santa Teresita. Adoration meetings named “Obras Mayores” occur on Mondays. These start at 6 PM at the same address. Young people gather on Fridays. The R.E.C. youth meeting lasts from 7:30 PM to 10:30 PM. In 1956, María Leonor Lorenzo and other young women founded a religious community. This was in Santa Fe, Argentina. Father Andrés Azcárate OSB inspired in her a strong desire. It was the Benedictine ideal. He guided the community. They lived the monastic life faithfully. They participated in evangelization.
Later, in 1961, María Leonor and Argentina Lens moved to Buenos Aires. They settled near Saint Benedict’s Abbey in Belgrano. They received support and direction there. The sisters gave retreats and workshops. They offered courses and missions to neighboring areas.
In the 1970s, some vocations joined. But it was not enough to be recognized. In 1994, the Abbot of Saint Benedict’s Abbey facilitated contact. It was with the Missionary Benedictine Sisters of Sorocaba.
In 1995, the Benedictine Sisters of the Epiphany were integrated. They made their Perpetual Profession in 1998. The Argentinian community is under the direction of the Sorocaba Priory, Brazil.
In 2002, a new mission opened in Los Toldos. A group of sisters took charge of the retreat house. It came with a farm and a small rural school. From 2000 on, Argentinian vocations began arriving.
Since 2004, the communities of Argentina became a Region under the Sorocaba Priory. Today, the guest house receives people seeking encounter with the Lord. They seek rest and relaxation. The pension house for students is a source of income. It provides support to young people from the interior.
Socio-pastoral work occurs in a marginal district in Los Toldos. It aims for integral formation of children. It accompanies women. This happens through pastoral services, weaving, sewing, and art work. In Laferrere vicinity, they assist a community in forming leaders. They visit sick children in the hospital. They encourage parents. They provide assistance to homeless people.
