The excavations, led by archaeologist Terei György, took place between 2003 and 2005. The team uncovered the largest Árpád-era village in the Carpathian Basin. Imagine nearly two hundred pit-houses. What makes this Kána-emlékmű so special? It’s not just about remembering a village. It’s about honoring the daily lives of its inhabitants. Their lives were closely linked to the Kána-tó.
