Their names are etched in stone. Each tile tells a story of sacrifice. The Riverdale Veterans Memorial stands proudly at the Riverdale Civic Center. Dedicated on November 11 2010 more than 300 people gathered for the dedication. Despite the cold they shared a profound sense of patriotism. The memorial’s creation was a community effort. Local businesses and individuals donated generously. Their contributions built this lasting tribute. You can see the names of the veterans listed. The memorial also has space for new names. Riverdale veterans past and present can purchase tiles. They can add their names and service information. There are two sizes available a 4×8 inch tile for $50 or an 8×8 inch tile for $100. You can order them at the Riverdale Senior Center. The center is located at 4433 South 900 West. The Veterans Day ceremonies are a highlight of the year. In 2024 Colonel Daniel Cornelius spoke. He is the 75th Air Base Wing and Installation Commander at Hill Air Force Base. The Bonneville High School Band performed. The Utah Military Academy raised the flag.
