Have you considered the power of a shared vision? Right here, before the Grace Gospel Church, that power took root. Grace Gospel Church stands as a testament to the intertwined destinies of faith and education. The church’s story begins not within these walls, but in a home on Tanduay Street in 1949. Mrs. Julia L. Tan envisioned a church and school working hand-in-hand. This vision blossomed into Grace Bible Church, led by Dr. and Mrs. Edwin Spahr.

Grace Gospel Church itself emerged a few years later. On September 28, 1952, within the walls of Grace Christian High School (GCHS) on Nagtahan Street, the church held its first services. Rev. Raymond Frame, a school missionary, guided the fledgling congregation. The church found a new home on Santol Street in 1965. But the connection with GCHS remained strong, reflecting Mrs. Tan’s initial vision of a united harvest field.

The church’s statement of faith echoes its belief in one God, eternally existing as Father, Son (Jesus Christ), and Holy Spirit. It emphasizes God’s creation of the heavens and the earth by His spoken word. The church’s task is to bring people to Christ. This is especially true for the Filipino Chinese community. Grace Gospel Church aims to baptize, disciple, and equip them for ministry and missions. The church’s contact details can be found online. The address is 429 Piña Avenue, Santa Mesa, Manila. You can reach them by phone at +63 2 8713 6051 or through their website. Grace Gospel Church stands as more than just a building. It represents a vision realized, a testament to faith and the enduring power of community.
