“A beacon of faith amidst the bustling metropolis.” That’s Musholla Darul Mumin. Musholla Darul Mumin stands proudly on Jl. Bangka Raya Gang Amal 3. It serves the faithful of RT.013 / RW.05 in Kelurahan Pela Mampang, Kecamatan Mampang Prapatan, Jakarta Selatan. Musholla Darul Mumin’s story began in 1997. It was built on land donated by the late Haji Abdul Minin. The original structure, primarily built from bamboo, wood, and plywood, earned it the affectionate nickname, “the bamboo musholla.” The community of RT 013 / RW 05 played a vital role in the musholla’s construction. They also lead its activities. From daily prayers to religious celebrations, the musholla became the heart of their spiritual life. They organized Quranic studies. They even established a Taman Pendidikan Al-Quran (Quranic kindergarten). In 2018, Musholla Darul Mumin underwent a significant transformation. The bamboo structure was replaced with a more permanent building made of hebel, sand, and cement. This renovation marked a new chapter in the musholla’s journey. Yet, it retained its core mission. Musholla Darul Mumin’s vision is clear: to foster a Prophetic community blessed by Allah. They aim to achieve this through religious and social activities centered around the musholla. Their mission is equally ambitious. They want to make the musholla a central hub for community activities, a sanctuary for worship, and a place for spiritual rejuvenation. They also envision it as a resource for resolving community issues and a center for learning, akin to a pesantren (Islamic boarding school) or a community college. Their motto encapsulates their purpose: “From the musholla, building a Prophetic community.” Musholla Darul Mumin’s official recognition is solidified by its registration with the Indonesian Mosque Council (DMI) of DKI Jakarta. It holds the registration number MUSHOLLA-JS20-0247 and operates under the decree SK-DMI DKI Jakarta S.Kep-5109/MUSHOLLA/DMI-DKI/IV/2020.
