The energy is electrifying. You can practically feel the vibrations in the air as you stand right before PlanetShakers. It’s not just a church; it’s a powerhouse of faith, music, and community, resonating with a global audience. PlanetShakers is known as one of the fastest-growing churches in Australia, with branches around the world. This is the main church, with over 21,000 members. It sprang out of the Australian Christian Conference and band in 1997. From humble beginnings, it evolved into a Pentecostal megachurch in Melbourne. Founded in 2004 by Russell and Sam Evans, the couple still lead the church today.
PlanetShakers Church is all about encountering the presence of God and sharing the good news with others. You feel it as the music pulsates with a contemporary edge, drawing in young people and inspiring older generations. This church is known for its dynamic music. It features PlanetShakers, a worship band with over 30 albums, and Planetboom, the youth ministry branch. The youth ministry is quite active, targeting high school students with programs, camps, and meetups. The music is so much a part of PlanetShakers that it’s no surprise that the church founded its own record label, Planetshakers Ministries International.
