Zönotéka is an independent project space. It is located in Berlin-Neukölln. Since June 2014, it has been a space for innovative encounters. The name comes from the biological term “coenosis.” This refers to a shared environment. It can be defined as a shared shelf for ideas.
Zönotéka seeks to foster a creative micro-community. It does this by offering individual working places. It also hosts exhibitions and events. The space functions as both a production place and a presentation opportunity. This encourages interaction between people and groups.

Zönotéka is part of the Hobrecht54 atelier community. This community hosts established artists. It is also home to Upcycling and Infinite Forms furniture workrooms. REꓘFORMA, a platform for emerging artists, also calls Zönotéka home.
Zönotéka has three main areas. There is a gallery. There is a workshop site. There is a studio. Each area serves its own purpose. However, they all operate closely together.
Past exhibitions show Zönotéka’s range. “Second Nature” was shown in April 2023. “Architectonic Approximations” was shown in September 2023. “Caterina Gobbi: my eyes are wild, my lips tight pressed” was shown in 2020. “Ilona Németh: METOD” was shown in 2016.
Zönotéka also hosts workshops. These include a Hydro-Acrylic Resin Workshop. There was also a Body Casting Workshop. Another workshop was Printing Code.
You can reach Zönotéka by taking the U8 metro line. Get off at Schönleinstrasse or Hermannplatz. During exhibitions, it is open Thursday to Saturday from 3 PM to 6 PM. You can also visit by appointment.
