Once a humble village, Yuvaköy Mahallesi transitioned into a neighborhood on July 23, 2004. This occurred due to a law that impacted villages within a 50-kilometer radius of Ankara. The law brought these villages under the jurisdiction of the Ankara Metropolitan Municipality, leading to their transformation into neighborhoods. This shift brought about significant changes, including the replacement of the traditional village headman (muhtar) with a more urban administrative structure. Despite these changes, Yuvaköy Mahallesi has managed to maintain a unique character. It offers a blend of rural tranquility and urban convenience. The population of Yuvaköy Mahallesi has been steadily growing over the years. In 2007, it was just over a thousand residents. By 2023, it had reached over four thousand. This growth reflects the appeal of Yuvaköy Mahallesi as a place to live. This neighborhood offers a peaceful respite from the city’s bustle, all while remaining well-connected to its amenities.
