From its humble beginnings in 1969 the Young Man’s Christian Association Institute of Engineering stands tall. This wasn’t just another engineering school. It was an Indo-German project a joint venture. The State Government and the National Council of YMCAs of India collaborated. West Germany actively assisted. The Young Man’s Christian Association Institute of Engineering started small. Only 120 students were accepted. The State Government generously donated 20 acres of land. This allowed the university to receive UGC grants. In 2016 NAAC accredited the university with an A+ grade.
The Young Man’s Christian Association Institute of Engineering retained its German influence. This set it apart from other universities in Haryana. The sophisticated equipment was key.
