Yooseok Elementary School. A simple name for a place brimming with youthful energy. Imagine children’s laughter echoing through the halls. Yooseok Elementary, located on Hwagok-ro 69-gil in Seoul, has been nurturing young minds since its establishment in March 1965. This isn’t just a school. It’s a cornerstone of the community. Yooseok Elementary has seen generations pass through its doors. From its humble beginnings, it has grown and expanded. In 1970, the first workshop added 62 new classrooms. Further expansions followed in 1973, 1978, and 1984. Then in 1985, a relocation to Hwagok-ro in Gangseo-gu marked a significant chapter in Yooseok Elementary School’s history. The school continued to evolve. In 1993, a modern kitchen and a central heating system were installed. The following year brought a fourth computer lab and four more classrooms dedicated to language education. Yooseok Elementary School continued to adapt to the changing educational landscape. In 1999, a fifth school building was erected. By 2004, a second small gym was added. A cafeteria followed in 2005, offering nutritious meals to the students. Yooseok Elementary School stands as a testament to the community’s commitment to education. It’s a place where dreams are nurtured, where futures are shaped.
