Around 367 B.C., Chengdu became the capital of the Shu Kingdom. The Dujiangyan Irrigation System then revolutionized the region. This ingenious system tamed the waters and enabled the city to flourish. It provided both irrigation and flood control.

Just as Chengdu has adapted, so too has Yinghua. In December 2019, Bingchuan Town and Hongbai Town became part of Yinghua Town. Yinghua is also connected to the wider world through the Yinghui Road station. It provides access to Line 7 of the Chengdu Metro. It opened in December 2017.
