Sharp’s mobile robot, RoBoHoN, plays a vital role in this project. It is used in conjunction with the Driver Agent system developed by Nagoya University’s Institutes of Innovation for Future Society. This system raises self-awareness of dangerous driving behaviors. It also provides objective feedback to drivers.

In January 2025, Yao Driving School hosted preliminary demonstrations. Eighteen elderly drivers participated. They tested the driving assistance solution on designated routes in Yao City. The results were promising.
Following the initial tests, a nationwide demonstration was planned. It was scheduled for April and May 2025. Twenty elderly drivers participated. They used the system on public roads across the country.
The aim is to launch a pre-service in fiscal year 2025. Commercialization is targeted for fiscal year 2026. This driving assistance solution links smartphones, robots, and cloud services. It acts as a daily driving partner, supporting improvements in road safety.
