Once named “West Tian Family Villa,” Xitiangezhuang stands before us. This town in Beijing’s Miyun District has a story etched in its very name. Xitiangezhuang is more than just a location. It is a place with a past that reaches back through changing times.

The history of Xitiangezhuang is a tapestry woven with threads of different eras. From 1947 to 1949, it was part of the 7th District Yihua County. Back then, the area was known as Peiping. The administrative status of Xitiangezhuang shifted. It became part of Miyun County in Hebei from 1949 to 1950. Then, from 1950 to 1953, Xitiangezhuang Town was included in the 2nd District.

Between 1953 and 1956, Xitiangezhuang was divided into Cangtou Township. It also encompassed Taiziwu Township and Daxinzhuang Township. A significant change occurred from 1956 to 1958. Xitiangezhuang became a People’s Commune. Later, from 1958 to 1983, it fell under Miyun County, Beijing. The area transitioned again. From 1983 to 1993, it was designated as Xitiangezhuang Township. From 1993 to 2015, Xitiangezhuang was formally recognized as a town. Finally, since 2015, it has been part of the Miyun District in Beijing.

Today, Xitiangezhuang is divided into 37 subdivisions. These include three communities. There are also 34 villages. Imagine the vibrant life within these communities. Xitiangezhuang Community Daxinzhuang Community and Yancun Community represent the heart of this town.

Consider the diverse villages that make up Xitiangezhuang. Xitiangezhuang Village reflects the area’s history. Donggezhuang Village and Cangtou Village add their unique character. Other villages include Yancun Village Daxinzhuang Village and Xizhi Village. Taiziwu Village and Donghubuzhuang Village enrich the area further. Hangezhuang Village and Yujiatai Village all add to Xitiangezhuang’s unique identity.

Xishan Village and Jianxin Village represent the modern face of Xitiangezhuang. Chaoyang Village and Xiejiashan Village have evolved over time. Maying Village and Xi Kanggezhuang Village hold their own histories. Xizhuanghu Village and Xishadi Village add to the area’s cultural heritage. Xiaoshuiyu Village and Xingsheng Village contribute to the community. Niupenyu Village and Baidaoyu Village offer a glimpse into local traditions. Xiaoshijian Village and Shudi Village preserve the past. Xinwangzhuang Village and Qingdian Village continue to thrive. Huangtuozi Village and Fenzhuang Village maintain their distinct identities. Gongzhuangzi Village and Hebeizhuang Village complete the picture.

As of 2020, the population of Xitiangezhuang was 33702. The population density is about 270 people per square kilometer. This town is located on the north of the Bai River’s alluvial plain. It covers an area of 125.6 square kilometers. Xitiangezhuang sits at an elevation of 60 meters.

Xitiangezhuang is bordered by several other towns. Shicheng Town lies to the north. Xiwengzhuang and Miyun Towns are to the east. Shilipu Town is to the south. Beifang and Huaibei Towns are to the west.
