In 1978, it merged to form Sino-Japanese Friendship People’s Commune. Later in 1979, it reverted to Yongfeng People’s Commune again. In 1984, it split once more. The western part was Yongfeng Township. The eastern part became Dongbeiwang Township. Finally, in 2003, they merged to form Xibeiwang Town. By 2011, it became an area. It retained its status as a town.
Today, Xibeiwang is divided into several subdivisions. These include communities, villages, and residential areas. You can find places like Liulitun Community and Liangjiadian Village here. There is also Tundian Community and Daniufang Community. These names reflect the diverse character of the area.
