Beneath the vibrant tapestry of Ho Chi Minh City lies Xã Long Cang. It’s a place where the echoes of history intertwine with the pulse of modern Vietnam. Xã Long Cang isn’t in Ho Chi Minh City. It’s nestled in the Long An Province, part of the Mekong Delta region. Xã Long Cang rests in the northwestern corner of Cần Đước district. The Vàm Cỏ River, a vital waterway, marks its western border. The xã encompasses an area of 9.30 square kilometers. As of 1999, its population was 5,243 people. This gives it a population density of 564 people per square kilometer. Xã Long Cang is divided into four smaller administrative units, known as ấp. These ấp, numbered 1 through 4, form the backbone of the local community. The area is known for its robust agricultural production. Xã Long Cang is also strategically located near several industrial zones. These include the Long Cang – Long Định Industrial Zone and the nearby Thuận Đạo Industrial Zone. This proximity to industry has fueled economic growth and development in the region. Xã Long Cang is well-connected by major roadways, such as Vành Đai 4, further enhancing its accessibility and integration with the surrounding areas.
