What’s it like to witness the birth of a town? Xã Đức Hòa Hạ, tucked away in Long An Province, gives us a glimpse into this fascinating process. Right now, you’re standing on the ground that was once part of a larger entity, Xã Đức Hòa. In 1979, a decision was made to divide, giving rise to this new community. Imagine the buzz, the anticipation, as people drew lines on maps, carving out a new identity for Xã Đức Hòa Hạ. Xã Đức Hòa Hạ wasn’t just happy to exist, it grew! By 1999, it boasted a population of 9,708 people, spread across a respectable 23.02 square kilometers. But there’s a twist in our tale. Xã Đức Hòa Hạ, in a sense, ceased to exist, at least as an independent entity. In 2016, it became part of the newly expanded Đức Hòa Town. Imagine it, this once fledgling community becoming a vital organ of a larger, thriving town. It’s a story of growth, of change and ultimately of the dynamism of life itself.
