Wynnum Baptist’s roots stretch back over a century, to the early 1900s. The first Baptist work in the area began humbly. Land was purchased, and a church was dedicated on December 21, 1912. The congregation thrived. Over the years, Wynnum Baptist expanded. They added buildings and adapted to the growing community. They realized their Bay Terrace location was no longer sufficient. In 2006, Wynnum Baptist found its current home on Kianawah Road. The official opening took place on March 4th, marking a new chapter in their journey. The church continues to grow and serve the community, offering a diverse range of ministries for people of all ages. Wynnum Baptist’s history reflects the spirit of its community. It’s a story of adapting to change and remaining committed to faith for over 100 years.
