“Worley Campground?” the young backpacker squinted at the map, brow furrowed. “Isn’t that, like, an office building or something?” This Worley Campground, rather than some idyllic slice of nature, was nestled amongst the steel and glass titans of Brisbane’s central business district. Worley Campground wasn’t a place to pitch a tent under the stars. It referred to the headquarters of Worley, a global engineering giant. Founded over half a century ago, Worley started its journey right here in Australia. Now, from this very spot, their 4,000-strong team in Brisbane designs, builds, and operates facilities that span the entire energy supply chain. Not quite a campground, but a different kind of powerhouse altogether.
