In 1966, a small group of believers gathered at the Woodland YMCA. They began a journey of faith that would blossom into Woodland Presbyterian Church. Woodland Presbyterian Church wasn’t always in its current location. The congregation initially worshipped at the YMCA and later at St. Luke’s Episcopal parish hall. This nomadic period shaped the church’s resilient spirit. It fostered a tight-knit community. In the late 1970s, Woodland Presbyterian Church took a significant step towards establishing a permanent home. They formed a non-profit organization, Motivators of Sensible Environmental Selection (MOSES), to purchase land. MOSES acquired 23.5 acres along County Road 98 in 1978. A few years later, a portion of the land was sold to a developer. The remaining three acres became the site of the present church building. The groundbreaking ceremony in 1985 marked a pivotal moment for Woodland Presbyterian Church. The congregation’s dream of having their own sanctuary was finally taking shape. The new church building was dedicated in a special service on September 14, 1986. Today, Woodland Presbyterian Church continues to serve the community. It offers weekly services every Sunday at 10:00 am. These services are held both in person and online via YouTube. The church strives to create a welcoming atmosphere for all who seek to connect with God and one another.
