Have you ever wondered what it’s like to be a knight? Right here at Wild- und Freizeitpark Klotten, you can experience the thrill of a medieval adventure without leaving our time. The park, often called Klotti-Park, is a family-friendly theme park nestled in the heart of the Mosel heights. This park has been a popular destination in the Eifel, Mosel, and Hunsrück region since 1970.

The story of Wild- und Freizeitpark Klotten starts with Matthias and Maria Hennes opening the park on the Mosel heights. It was one of the largest resorts in the area when it opened. Over 30 hectares of land were carefully prepared to accommodate animals from around the world. The park rapidly became a favorite in the Eifel/Mosel region.

In later years, sons Josef and Hubert took over the park and introduced many new attractions, including a cable car and the now legendary water bob facility. The goal was to transform the park into a family-friendly leisure and adventure park, with its most prominent addition, the roller coaster, opening in 2004.

After the roller coaster, the park continued to evolve. In 2011-2012, the grand “Zum Rittersturz” white water rink was constructed, making the park a record holder for its size and speed. Visitors are invited to explore the fascinating world of avian predators at the falconry, established in 2010, and watch birds of prey from different countries soar through the air daily in free-flight shows.

The park continues to evolve, ensuring there’s something for everyone; even the smaller visitors enjoy their own world filled with interactive play areas, the “Klotti Botti” teacup carousel, and the “Klotti Karotti” carousel. Wild- und Freizeitpark Klotten is a place for all ages. It’s a magical blend of animal encounters, exhilarating rides, and exciting adventures, all amidst the stunning backdrop of the Mosel Valley.
