Today Whitin Observatory continues to inspire. Its telescopes are still used by students and the public. The observatory continues to be a beacon of knowledge. The Planewave CDK700 telescope was added in 2010. This state-of-the-art instrument allows for cutting-edge research. Students use the observatory’s technology. They participate in exciting research projects. The research projects include galaxy surface brightness profiles. They also do open cluster HR diagram age determinations. Another project is light curves of exoplanets.
