“Founded on the 3rd of Kumphaphan 2475”, so reads the inscription. This is Watbuengthonglang School. It has been a cornerstone of education for nearly a century.

Watbuengthonglang School began with humble origins. Mr. Khun Phithak was instrumental. Children aged 10 to 14 were its first students. Education followed royal decrees. It received support from the Ministry of Education. Initially, it only offered Prathom 1 to Prathom 6.

In 2479, a royal grant helped Watbuengthonglang School improve. New classrooms expanded learning. By 2488, Watbuengthonglang School opened an additional facility. It was at Sala Kan Parian. Mr. Mangon Chulhoorai was a dedicated teacher.

Education was serious business. The curriculum expanded. More teachers were required. “Phra Kru Phakyaam Phithak” joined. He became a valuable asset.

Watbuengthonglang School continued to evolve. It established itself as a beacon. It stood for progress. Construction projects modernized the school. Donations from communities helped a lot. Over 10,000 baht were raised.

Watbuengthonglang School became official on 25th Meenakom 2488. Mr. Kamjat Phatthasuwan was dedicated. Also Mr. Chop Ataphong. Both were key teachers.

In 2490, it was associated with the Ministry of Education. The name changed to Watbuengthonglang School. From 2491 to 2511, Mr. Phak Thongwichase was a teacher. From 2511 to 2526, Mr. Phon Taengon was a teacher. He held educational administration positions.

Between 2526 and 2536, Mrs. Soyat Wanikabut was a teacher. She reached a higher administrative level. From 2536 to 2541, Mr. Narong Maklathom served. He was the director. Between 2541 and 2544, Mrs. Somchit Khotchurat served. From 2544 to 2545, Mrs. Warunee Phraeksewan served. From 2545 to 2546, Mrs. Saowasamantha Phongmala served. Between 2546 and 2547, Mrs. Ratree Aasingsamanant served. From 2547 to 2550, Mrs. Sunan Watchiramanut served.

From 2550 to 2553, Mr. Yupha Hlimcharoen served. Between 2553 and 2558, Mr. Nophatsawat Thatsananchalee served. From 2558 to 2565, Mr. Pridawut Inthawimolsiri served. Since 2565, Mrs. Saowanee Meetham has served.

Watbuengthonglang School remains a center of learning. It’s a place for the community. The school has a proud history. It adapts to modern times. Watbuengthonglang School continues to educate future generations.
