The project broke ground in early May 2011. By December 24, 2011, the Vincom Center Long Bien shopping mall opened. Construction took only seven months.

The second phase is Vinhomes Riverside The Harmony. It spans 96 hectares including a 15-hectare lake. The canal is 4.8 km long. This phase has 1499 villas. These include detached semi-detached duplex townhouses and garden houses. The sub-districts are named after flowers too. They are Tulip Zone Nguyet Que Zone Huong Duong Zone and Phong Lan Zone.
Vinhomes Riverside aims to be a modern miniature city. It offers various amenities and facilities. These include Vinschool kindergartens Vincom Long Bien Shopping Center and Almaz a high-end culinary and convention center. There is also Dinosaur Park and outdoor sports facilities.
