The monastery became one of the most important centers of the Cistercians, a religious order known for their simple lifestyle. Today, Villa Castelbarco is a private residence owned by the Castelbarco family. Its history is marked by a succession of families who have enriched the villa with their own stories and architectural additions, like a beautiful little church with a bell tower built in the 18th century.
