Dreams take flight here at Victory Outreach. Founded in 1967 by Sonny and Julie Arguinzoni, Victory Outreach began as a beacon of hope. It started in a small building on Gless Street in East Los Angeles. The Arguinzoni’s felt called to reach those suffering in urban communities.
Victory Outreach’s story began with a simple act. The Arguinzoni’s invited drug addicts into their home. These were people from their local community. They shared a message of God’s love and the power to change lives. From this humble beginning, Victory Outreach was born. It flourished into a global network.
Victory Outreach’s vision expanded beyond drug addicts and gang members. It grew to impact people from all walks of life. Today, Sonny and Julie Arguinzoni continue to inspire. They lead the ministry both locally and internationally. Victory Outreach International is a leader in sustainable transformation ministry.
Since its inception, Victory Outreach has helped countless individuals. They empower people to take control of their lives. From its modest start, it has become an international organization. It carries the message of Jesus Christ to the world.
Victory Outreach grew from one church to over 700 churches and ministries. These locations span across America and 30 countries. The reach extends from the Philippines to the Netherlands. They have grown into one of the largest inner-city ministries. They meet the needs of people from all walks of life.
For over 50 years, Victory Outreach has trained men and women. It equips them to reach their full potential. This includes establishing churches, building careers, and nurturing families.
In the early 1970s, church members felt a strong sense of destiny. They dared to believe in God. They stepped out in faith, starting Victory Outreach churches across California. They often lacked financial support. Sometimes they had no friends or contacts in the new cities. Faith grew in the heart of every Victory Outreach member.
During the 1980s, Victory Outreach became a prominent mission-focused ministry. Churches were planted across America. Some of these churches grew rapidly. This success led to a daring move. A cross-cultural church was planted in Amsterdam and Mexico.
From the 1990s onward, Victory Outreach experienced explosive growth. This occurred both in the United States and abroad. Currently, one-third of all Victory Outreach churches are overseas. This adds a strong international dimension to the ministry. However, the primary focus remains meeting needs within America’s inner cities. Victory Outreach stands on the brink of a new era. The ministry is as vibrant today as it was over 50 years ago.
