In 1967, Sonny and Julie Arguinzoni opened their home to drug addicts in Los Angeles. They shared the Gospel’s basic truth. This simple act birthed Victory Outreach. It started to flourish.
From those humble beginnings, Victory Outreach grew. It now encompasses over 700 churches and ministries across America and in 30 countries. These locations stretch from the Philippines to the Netherlands. Victory Outreach became one of the largest inner-city ministries in the world. It meets the needs of people from all walks of life.
Victory Outreach emerged to the forefront of mission-focused ministries in the 1980s. Churches were planted across America. Some grew rapidly. This success spurred a daring move. They planted a cross-cultural church in Amsterdam and Mexico.
The 1990s marked a time of explosive growth. This growth happened both in the U.S. and abroad. Today, a third of Victory Outreach churches are overseas. This adds a strong international flair to the ministry. The primary focus remains meeting needs within America’s inner cities. Victory Outreach Camden Church embodies this mission.
For over 50 years, Victory Outreach has trained men and women. They are equipped to reach their full potential. This includes establishing churches, building careers, and nurturing families.
Victory Outreach continues to spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ. They convert people to the Christian faith.
Victory Outreach International focuses on those at the “edge of society.” This includes drug addicts, prostitutes, and criminals. By mid-2006, over 300 local churches belonged to Victory Outreach. They have locations in the United States, South America, Mexico, Africa, Europe, Southeast Asia, and Canada. The vision expanded from helping addicts and gang members. It now includes people from all lifestyles.
Victory Outreach has a youth division. It was known as G.A.N.G. This stood for “God’s Anointed Now Generation.” It is now called Now Generation.
