After Rev. Thompson’s retirement Dr. Robert E. Fowler Sr. took the helm. He became senior pastor November 12 1996. Dr. Fowler served faithfully until his passing May 19 2020.
December 31 2021 marked a new chapter. Sean A. Taylor delivered his inaugural message. He was appointed the new senior pastor of Victory Missionary Baptist Church.
Today Victory Missionary Baptist Church hosts multiple services. They have two weekend services. There is also one weekday service. These services impact the church family and community. Victory Missionary Baptist Church is located at 500 W Monroe Las Vegas.
Pastor Sean A. Taylor brings a wealth of experience. He served at St. John Missionary Baptist Church in Euless Texas. He was also a Biblical Research Assistant. He assisted Pastor Bryan Carter at Concord Baptist Church in Dallas. Before that Pastor Taylor was Minister of Music. He ministered at Cummings Street Baptist Church in Memphis Tennessee. There he was ordained by Pastor Gary L. Faulkner. In 1994 he answered his call to ministry. He got his license at Golden Leaf Baptist Church. It is now Promise Tabernacle in Flint Michigan. Pastor Frederick L. Flowers led that church.
Pastor Taylor’s education is extensive. He graduated from Crichton College. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Biblical Studies. He received a graduate degree from Dallas Theological Seminary. It was a Th.M. Now he is pursuing a D.Min at Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. His focus is Biblical Theology. He serves on the faculty of Southern Bible Institute. He is an Adjunct Professor of Systematic Theology. He is a visiting professor at Word of Life Bible Institute in the Philippines.
Pastor Taylor and his wife Cecelia celebrate over two decades of marriage. They have six children. Their names are Fredrick Victoria Raymond Anthony Nicole and Camille. They also have two grandchildren Allison and Preston.
