Victory Bible Church International also known as VBCI started with just 89 people. They gathered in Accra. At that time, it was known as Jesus People Outreach Church. The name evolved. It became Victory Christian Centre. Finally, it took its present name, Victory Bible Church International.

Presiding Bishop Nii Apiakai Tackie-Yarboi founded Victory Bible Church International. His vision was clear. He wanted to convert people to faith in Jesus Christ. He wanted to help them become active members of God’s family. Today, Victory Bible Church International continues these efforts. It helps people mature as followers of Christ. It equips them for ministry. It encourages them to fulfill their God-given potential.

Victory Bible Church International plays a role in the Neo-Pentecostal Movement in Ghana. It introduced new activities. The founder left Christian Evangelical Ministry. He was released willingly by its leadership. He wanted to start Victory Bible Church International.

Victory Bible Church International now has branches all over Ghana. It also has branches in Europe. You can find it in the United States. It even has locations in Asia. In the UK, the first service took place in 1991. It was held in Rotherhithe Library in London. About 45 people attended, led by Bishop Clement Asihene.

Victory Bible Church International registered as a charity in the UK in 1994. By 2008, Victory Bible Church International UK purchased Spray Street House. They renamed it Sanctuary Centre. It became their corporate headquarters in the UK and Europe.
