Why is the Victoria-Tower also often called the Ergo-Tower? Many people ask this question when they see this impressive building for the first time. The Victoria-Tower stands tall and proud in Düsseldorf’s Pempelfort district. This 108-meter skyscraper was once the home of Victoria Versicherung AG. Construction began in 1994 and finished in 1998. Designed by the renowned architectural firm HPP Hentrich-Petschnigg & Partner KG, the tower boasts 29 floors. Today, the building houses around 1,915 employees. In 2010, Victoria Versicherung became part of the Ergo Group. This led to the building being colloquially dubbed the “Ergo-Tower.” Despite this, the original name, Victoria-Haus, still graces official documents and records.
