“Ever heard of the White Shark?” That is Vichit Praianan’s nickname.

Let’s talk about Vichit Banjong. It is named after a very famous person. Vichit Praianan also goes by Wichit Lukbangplasoi. He was born in Chonburi on October 16, 1951. He is a former Muay Thai fighter and amateur boxer.

Vichit was not just any fighter. He won silver medals in boxing at the Asian Games. He also won at the Asian Boxing Championships. In 1972, he even boxed in the Summer Olympics.

Growing up in Chonburi shaped Vichit’s path. At 13, inspired by his older brother, he began training in Muay Thai. This early start fueled his rise in the fighting world.

Vichit earned the title of Lumpinee Stadium Super Featherweight Champion. This is a huge achievement in Muay Thai. His skill and determination set him apart. People called him the White Shark.

Looking at Vichit’s Muay Thai record shows his dedication. He fought many tough opponents in Bangkok’s Lumpinee Stadium. Some fights he won. Some he lost. Each fight added to his experience.

In 1978, he faced Chongjaroen Sakwittaya. He lost by KO in the fourth round. That same year, he also lost to Santi Rekchai by decision.

But Vichit also had many wins. He beat Siangnow Sitbangprachan in Bangkok. He also defeated Poot Lorlek at Lumpinee Stadium. These wins prove his skill and resilience.

One notable fight was against Posai Sitiboonlert in 1976. The referee stopped the fight. He felt Vichit wasn’t fighting to his full potential.

Vichit’s career includes wins against Vicharnnoi Porntawee and Prayut. He also won against Sirimongkol Luksiripat. These victories show his ability to compete at a high level.

In 1974, Vichit won the Lumpinee Stadium Super Featherweight title. He beat Khunponnoi Kiatsuriya. This win marked a high point in his Muay Thai career.

Even in his losses, Vichit showed his fighting spirit. He faced Saensak Muangsurin twice in 1971. Both times, he lost by TKO. These fights tested his limits.
