G Stoll and H Sohns served as advisors.

The Verein der Vogelfreunde 1963 Bammental e V wasn’t always known by that name. Initially the Verein der Vogelfreunde Bammental-Wiesenbach. A name change occurred on January 31 1965. Then finally on January 17 1981 the official registration as Verein der Vogelfreunde 1963 Bammental e V. This marked a significant milestone in its history.

Their 50th anniversary celebration in 2013 was a joyous occasion. Held at their Vereinslokal Vogelheim it was a small gathering of 47 guests. The then chairman Friedrich Fuchs delivered a welcome speech. Mayor Karl also spoke. So did Hubert Friedrich from the Badenische Landesverband der Kanarien- u Vogelzuchter BKV. Even the founding member Edmund Beckenbach attended alongside honorary member Erwin Bauer.

Friedrich Fuchs shared a fascinating tidbit during the anniversary. The classic Hitchcock film The Birds also premiered in 1963. This event marked the 50th anniversary celebrations. The club exhibition happened alongside the 2014 Baden championship.

Their October 2013 exhibition promised to be particularly special. The Vogelheim team prepared a delicious buffet. Following the meal awards were presented for 10 20 25 30 and more years of membership and service. A commemorative certificate and a club mug was given. Hubert Friedrich presented an honorary certificate from the association. It received a place of honor on the Vereinsheim wall.

The evening transitioned into informal conversations. Gentle music played in the background. Those who hadn’t received a club mug earlier got one to take home as a memento.
