Housed in two airplane hangars at the Van Nuys Airport, the Valley Relics Museum bursts with a vibrant collection of over 25,000 items. From the 1950s and 60s, you’ll find Nudie Cohn memorabilia, including the iconic Nudie Mobile. This customized Pontiac Bonneville embodies the flamboyant style of the famed tailor to the stars. The museum also boasts a collection of vintage BMX bikes from the sixties, seventies, and eighties, alongside vintage signs, posters, and bowling memorabilia. Remember “The Bad News Bears”? Filmed in the Valley, the museum holds costumes, autographed baseballs, scripts, and even a telegram from Walter Matthau. The Valley Relics Museum, founded by Valley native Tommy Gelinas, is a love letter to the region’s history. It’s a place where neon signs from Pup N Taco, Bob’s Big Boy, and Mel’s Diner light up the past.
