Ulvstorpasjön sits west of Jönköping. It is about 5 km from the city center. You will find it along the road to Axamo Airport near Ulvstorpsgård. This lake is managed by the Ulvstorp section. The section belongs to Jönköping’s Sportfishing Club.
The lake is not very deep. Its greatest depth is about 4 meters. Ulvstorpasjön has humus-colored water. Along the northern edge of Ulvstorpasjön, you will spot summer cottages. These cottages have their own beach plots. At the southern part of Ulvstorpasjön lies Ulvstorpsgård. Fishing is not allowed for the public here. However, there are two bridges on the south side. One bridge is accessible for people with disabilities.
Ulvstorpasjön is known for its stocked fish. Rainbow salmon and trout thrive in its waters. Jönköping’s Sportfishing Club was founded in 1957. The club leases several fishing waters in the area. These include Ulvstorpasjön, Åsendammen, Sågviksdammen, Mogölen and Attarpsdammen. If you are a member of the club, you can fish for free in all these lakes except Ulvstorpasjön and Åsendammen.
The members of the Ulvstorp section work hard. They maintain the lake and its surroundings voluntarily. They see Ulvstorpasjön as a gem near the city. They want everyone to enjoy the peace and quiet it offers. The lake covers an area of 0.0667 square kilometers. It sits 221.9 meters above sea level.
If you want to grill you are welcome to use one of the two designated spots. But please be aware. Grilling is only allowed if there is no grilling ban. Also disposable grills are not allowed.
Ulvstorpasjön is part of the Motala ström’s main drainage area. The area around Ulvstorpasjön consists mostly of forest and open land. Agriculture is also a big part.
