This collaboration provided religious instruction in public schools. Around 3349 students benefited from this program. The program received positive feedback from students parents and educators. This success reflects the Tuerkisch-Islamische Union’s dedication to integration and community engagement.
However the partnership ended in 2020. Concerns arose regarding the union’s independence from potential Turkish government influence. This was linked to its collaboration with the Turkish Directorate of Religious Affairs Diyanet. Despite the program’s success some questioned the level of independence. This prompted a review of the partnership and its eventual dissolution.
