In 1992, a beacon of hope was lit in Kuala Lumpur. The Tung Shin Academy of Nursing (TSAN) opened its doors. TSAN is a non-profit institution affiliated with the renowned Tung Shin Hospital. It’s located in the bustling district of Pudu. The Tung Shin Academy of Nursing aimed to address the growing need for skilled nurses in Malaysia and Singapore. Initially, TSAN offered a two-year Certificate in Nursing program. This program focused on training assistant nurses. Over 350 assistant nurses graduated from this program. Many of them found employment in hospitals across Malaysia and Singapore. Later, in 2012, the Tung Shin Academy of Nursing expanded its offerings. It introduced a three-year full-time Diploma in Nursing program. This diploma program provides more comprehensive training. The Tung Shin Academy of Nursing holds accreditation from the Nursing Board and the Ministry of Health Malaysia. This recognition ensures the quality and standards of their nursing programs. It also assures prospective students of a valuable education.
