Tuers Park underwent extensive improvements. It reopened on Tuesday, Oct. 20. The reopening came after refurbishment. The refurbishment cost $390,000.
The baseball field received new benches. New bleachers and fencing were installed. The baseball infield was resurfaced. Fresh new infield clay was used.
The playground area was resurfaced as well. New engineered wood fiber mulch was added. This provides greater safety for children. Old playground equipment was replaced. Brand new pieces were installed. Perimeter fencing was installed too.
New asphalt pathways were constructed. New trash receptacles were added. There is a new storage enclosure. A new water fountain was also installed.
Tuers Park includes a softball diamond. It also features a basketball court. A children’s playground and bikeways are here. You can enjoy playground activities. Softball and basketball are popular. Baseball can be played here too.
Hurlock said the park’s renovation is part of the township’s efforts. These efforts aim to improve recreational facilities. The township’s strong financial management made this possible. They invested in parks during the COVID-19 pandemic. This made them attractive, safe, and welcoming.
