TU Dublin Blanchardstown began as the Institute of Technology Blanchardstown in 1999. It was the last Institute of Technology founded in Ireland. In 2019, it joined with other institutes to form TU Dublin. This merger created Ireland’s first technological university.
Now, let’s explore the campus. TU Dublin Blanchardstown covers 22.5 hectares. It is located in the IDA College Business and Technology Park. The campus includes eight buildings that span over 22000 square meters.
Inside, you will find lots of modern facilities. There are computer and electronic labs plus lecture theaters. These theaters have the latest audio-visual equipment. You will also see fully equipped workshops and a library. When students get hungry, they can visit the restaurants. For recreation, there is a sports hall and fitness center. The campus also provides student union areas and automated banking. Cars and bikes have designated parking areas. Outside, there are playing fields for Gaelic games and soccer.
TU Dublin Blanchardstown serves many students. It supports the greater Blanchardstown area and the north and west of Dublin. Students also come from Meath, Kildare, Cavan, and Louth.

Doras contains a Creative Digital Media studio and a photography lab. There is also an Early Childhood Care and Education lab in TU Dublin Blanchardstown. Mechatronic and Computer Engineering workshops are also available in Doras.
Eolas holds academic staff offices and teaching spaces. Classrooms, labs, and workshops are spread over three levels.
Fios is the location of the campus library. The library provides information services to meet academic needs. Fios also facilitates the Careers Development Office and digital media labs.
The Horticulture building is for practice-based horticulture courses. It includes glasshouses, poly-tunnels, and outdoor work areas.
The Learning and Innovation Centre (LINC) connects the campus to the business community. It supports new start-ups through facilities, training, and consultancy.
Spraoi is the sports facility on campus. It has a fitness suite, changing rooms, and a sports science lab. There are also all-weather and grass pitches. Membership in the gym is free for students and staff.
