Established in 2014 Tr\u01b0\u1eddng \u0110\u1ea1i h\u1ecdc Th\u1ee7 \u0111\u00f4 H\u00e0 N\u1ed9i stands as Hanoi’s first public university under the direct management of the Hanoi People’s Committee. It marks a significant milestone in the city’s educational landscape.
Tr\u01b0\u1eddng \u0110\u1ea1i h\u1ecdc Th\u1ee7 \u0111\u00f4 H\u00e0 N\u1ed9i aims to connect and develop the traditions of the thousand-year-old capital. It strives for excellent quality and trains high-caliber human resources. This meets the socio-economic development needs of Hanoi and the country.
But the university’s roots run deeper than 2014. It was formed by upgrading the Hanoi Pedagogical College. This college was established on October 6 1959. This makes Tr\u01b0\u1eddng \u0110\u1ea1i h\u1ecdc Th\u1ee7 \u0111\u00f4 H\u00e0 N\u1ed9i heir to a legacy of teacher training.
In 2016 Tr\u01b0\u1eddng \u0110\u1ea1i h\u1ecdc Th\u1ee7 \u0111\u00f4 H\u00e0 N\u1ed9i expanded further. The Soc Son Multi-Level Economics and Technology College was merged into it. This broadened the university’s scope of training and expertise.
The university’s main campus is located at 98 Duong Quang Ham Street Quan Hoa Cau Giay Hanoi. It has additional facilities at 131 Đac Tai village Mai Đinh Soc Son and 6 Vinh Phuc Ba Đinh. These multiple locations enable the university to serve a diverse student body.
Tr\u01b0\u1eddng \u0110\u1ea1i h\u1ecdc Th\u1ee7 \u0111\u00f4 H\u00e0 N\u1ed9i offers a wide array of undergraduate programs. These include education programs such as Elementary Education and Preschool Education. It also offers programs in English Linguistics Vietnamese Studies and Chinese Linguistics. The university also provides training in Mathematics Physics and Civic Education.
Beyond undergraduate studies Tr\u01b0\u1eddng \u0110\u1ea1i h\u1ecdc Th\u1ee7 \u0111\u00f4 H\u00e0 N\u1ed9i offers postgraduate degrees. These include Master’s programs in Educational Management and English Linguistics. It also offers a doctoral program in Educational Management.
The university has received several awards. These include the First Class Independence Medal in 1995 and 2013. It also received the Third Class Labor Medal in 1984 and 2019.
In 2023 Tr\u01b0\u1eddng \u0110\u1ea1i h\u1ecdc Th\u1ee7 \u0111\u00f4 H\u00e0 N\u1ed9i was honored at the Bui Xuan Phai Awards. This recognized its love for Hanoi. Also in 2023 a student team won first prize at the Genesis 2023 startup competition for female students.
