Trường Đại học Hạ Long, also known as Ha Long University, stands as a testament to Quảng Ninh province’s commitment to education. Established on October 13, 2014, by a decree from the Prime Minister, it merged two existing colleges: Quảng Ninh College of Education and Ha Long College of Culture, Arts and Tourism. This university isn’t just a place of learning; it’s a hub of research and technological innovation. It aims to contribute to the socio-economic development of the province and the greater Northern Delta region. Trường Đại học Hạ Long offers a diverse range of programs. These programs cover many fields, from science and technology to economics, education, and social sciences. The university boasts two campuses. Campus 1 is located at the former site of Quảng Ninh College of Education in Uông Bí. Campus 2, which we stand before, is situated at the former site of Ha Long College of Culture, Arts and Tourism in Ha Long city. Trường Đại học Hạ Long strives to produce highly qualified graduates. Its mission statement focuses on training high-quality human resources. It also prioritizes research and problem-solving to benefit the socio-economic growth of Quảng Ninh and Vietnam. The university’s vision is to become one of the leading higher education institutions in Vietnam by 2030. They aim to be recognized internationally for academic excellence. Trường Đại học Hạ Long has a clear set of core values: Quality, Innovation, and Humanity. Their educational philosophy focuses on learning by doing, developing character, and achieving success. The university structure comprises numerous faculties. Some of these include Tourism, Foreign Languages, Information Technology, Culture, Fine Arts, Fisheries, and Environment.
