Wasn’t it a mere blink ago that this land held a different purpose? Now, before us stands Trường Đại học Đại Nam, or Dai Nam University. It all began in June 2005, a seed of an idea planted by Dr. Le Dac Son, then General Director of VPBank, and a dozen brilliant scientists. They envisioned a university, a beacon of knowledge under the wing of the Vietnam Construction Association. Their dream needed fertile ground. The founders navigated a complex landscape of regulations. They had to prove the university’s necessity, aligning it with the government’s vision. They gathered a team of qualified faculty, each a testament to academic excellence. They secured funding, a cool VND 30 billion, the minimum charter capital required at the time. They acquired 10.5 hectares of land, the future home of Dai Nam University. Finally, on November 14, 2007, the Prime Minister granted the license, and Dai Nam University was born. Dr. Le Dac Son took the helm as the first Chairman of the Board of Directors. Today, Dai Nam University offers a diverse array of undergraduate and postgraduate programs. From Medicine and Pharmacy to Information Technology and Business Administration, it caters to a broad spectrum of aspiring professionals. It stands as a testament to the vision of its founders, a place where “Learning for change” is not just a motto, but a way of life. The university has evolved significantly over the years, expanding its facilities and programs to meet the growing demands of the academic world. Dai Nam University is more than just bricks and mortar. It’s a community, a hub of innovation, a place where dreams take flight.
