Established on November 15 1945 the University of Transport Technology stands before us. Its history is rich. It began as the College of Public Works. The university’s origins trace back much further. In 1902 a school for public works was established in Hanoi. It was renamed the College of Public Works in 1913. The college trained mid-level specialists in public works. It evolved into the College of Engineering. It continued educating even amidst the challenges of war. During the French occupation and subsequent conflicts the college relocated several times. Its perseverance is remarkable. It continued educating future engineers and specialists. In 1996 it became the University of Transport and Communications. Finally in 2011 it was officially upgraded to its current name the University of Transport Technology.
