Vingroup, a major Vietnamese conglomerate, developed and sponsors this large-scale, non-profit center. Their vision was clear: to nurture and champion contemporary Vietnamese art. The Trung tâm nghệ thuật VCCA aims to bridge the gap between art and the public. It strives to inspire and enrich the spiritual lives of the Vietnamese people. The center pursues three core objectives. It invests in the preservation of Vietnamese cultural heritage through museums. It provides platforms for artists to showcase their work in a professional setting. It builds a collection of significant Vietnamese artworks. Beyond these, the Trung tâm nghệ thuật VCCA introduces visitors to new artistic trends. It fosters aesthetic appreciation and spreads art knowledge to a wider audience. The inaugural exhibition, “The Foliage,” ran from June 6th to August 6th. It served as a meeting point for contemporary artists. It featured a captivating East-West dialogue. Artworks of diverse styles were displayed side by side. The arrangement wasn’t chronological or thematic. Instead, it emphasized the interplay between the art pieces and the unique architecture of the exhibition space. The Trung tâm nghệ thuật VCCA operates on a seasonal basis. Each three-month season features a different exhibition theme. Alongside these exhibitions are various educational activities and workshops. A notable feature of the Trung tâm nghệ thuật VCCA is its nearly 4,000m2 space within Vincom Megamall. It boasts a distinctive display area bathed in natural light.
