In a humble hotel room, a vision ignited. True Love International Ministry, then known as True Love Evangelistic Ministries, began its journey in October 2001. Pastor Clara Brown-Draughn, heeding a divine call, embarked on this new chapter with her family by her side. True Love International Ministry’s origin story echoes a biblical passage. Pastor Clara asked her family, “Will you step out of the boat with me?” just as Jesus invited Peter to walk on water. Her family embraced the vision, stepping out in faith to establish the ministry. True Love International Ministry’s initial focus was on family and faith. Pastor Clara aimed to reunite families under the banner of God’s love. The ministry quickly expanded its reach. It became a beacon of hope and spiritual guidance for the community. True Love International Ministry offered more than just Sunday services. It hosted food pantries, prayer meetings, and Bible studies. The church became a hub of activity, nurturing both spiritual and physical needs. Bishop Clara Brown-Draughn led the ministry with unwavering faith until her passing in December 2018. Her legacy of love and dedication continues to inspire True Love International Ministry. Pastor Christopher Brown, ordained by his mother in 2010, now leads the congregation. He carries forward the ministry’s mission. True Love International Ministry remains a testament to the power of faith. For over two decades, it has served the Detroit community. The ministry has been a steadfast presence. It has provided support and spiritual nourishment to countless individuals. True Love International Ministry is more than just a building. It’s a living testament to the enduring power of faith, family, and community.
