Beneath the Denver sun stands Trinity Lutheran Church, a beacon of faith. Trinity Lutheran Church started as a joint effort in March 1956. The District Mission Board worked with members of St. John Lutheran Church.

Trinity Lutheran Church began with a plan. The plan was to create a neighborhood church. To realize this vision, 2.79 acres were purchased. The land was located between Raleigh and Tennyson on Yale Street in Denver. Back then, the area was known as “rabbit hill”. Many babies were born there.

The first building of Trinity Lutheran Church was unique. It was constructed as a house without interior walls. This design had a practical purpose. If the church plant failed, the house could be sold easily. Fortunately, the Lord blessed Trinity Lutheran Church. The congregation grew quickly. In 1958, the first church building was dedicated. The house was finished inside and became a parsonage.

By the early 1960s, Trinity Lutheran Church needed more space. The present church was dedicated in 1964. The nave can seat approximately 400 people. It has been remodeled several times. The old church became the parish hall. In 1995, a major addition was completed. It was an administrative building.

Today, Trinity Lutheran Church thrives. It is a vibrant and young congregation. Trinity Lutheran Church is known for its strong commitment. It follows the Confessional Lutheran tradition. The historic practices and liturgy of the Lutheran church are central here. Good church music is also a high priority. Members come from all over the Denver metro area to worship here at Trinity Lutheran Church.

Trinity Lutheran Church offers many opportunities. People can receive God’s blessings of salvation and life together. Divine Service with Holy Communion is held every Sunday at 9 am. Bible Study takes place at 10:30 AM. The Adult Choir meets at 11:35 AM.

Trinity Lutheran Church is committed to teaching the truth of God’s Word. This teaching centers on Christ. Christ was crucified to atone for the sins of the whole world. Jesus’s finished work is central to worship, lives, and doctrine here at Trinity Lutheran Church. The worship follows the historic liturgy of the Church. The community joyfully sings the great hymns.

Trinity Lutheran Church’s congregation is young. God has blessed families with many children. The kids are enthusiastic participants. They participate in all aspects of worship, study, and other activities. Families also participate in the church’s homeschool co-op. It meets every Tuesday and Thursday.

Congregants come from various counties. These include Jefferson County, Denver County, Arapahoe County, Douglas County, and Adams County. Members come from nearly all of Denver’s suburbs. These include Lakewood, Aurora, Westminster, Arvada, Centennial, Thornton, Highlands Ranch, and more.

Trinity Lutheran Church is a welcoming place. Visitors are always welcome. The church offers regular classes. These classes are for prospective and new members. They learn about God’s saving work. They also learn how He serves in this life. Trinity Lutheran Church is rich with converts. They come from many different backgrounds. These include Roman Catholic, Baptist, Methodist, Episcopalian, and more.

At Trinity Lutheran Church, several pastors lead the congregation. Pastor Adrian Sherrill is the senior pastor. He received the Divine Call to Trinity in 2001. The Rev. James Bauer has served Trinity Lutheran Church since 1990. The Reverend Thomas E. Lock joined the church later. Pastor North Sherrill is an Associate Pastor.
