Gazing at Trinity Fellowship Church, imagine a young pastor, Bob DeGray, fresh out of seminary. He penned a letter in 1992, a seed of faith planted in Houston’s soil. This letter marked the beginning of Trinity Fellowship Church. He asked his former church members if they would be interested in starting a new church with him. At least ten families were needed. Within a week, they had their answer. More than enough families were ready to embark on this new journey. Trinity Fellowship Church was born from this shared vision. Thirty years later, the church faced a monumental challenge. Hurricane Harvey devastated Houston in August 2017. This date held a strange significance for Trinity Fellowship. It was almost exactly 25 years after Bob’s initial letter, dated August 16, 1992. The church became a beacon of hope during the storm’s aftermath. It provided shelter and relief to countless families affected by the floods. Mission teams flocked to Houston from all corners of the country. Many found refuge within Trinity Fellowship’s walls. They worked tirelessly, rebuilding damaged homes board by board, tile by tile. In 2023, Trinity Fellowship Church began a new chapter. A new pastor arrived, ready to lead the congregation on a new adventure. Trinity Fellowship Church continues to be a vibrant part of the Houston community. It’s a testament to the power of faith and the resilience of the human spirit.
