In 1936 two young women arrived in Tomball. They had a vision to build a Spirit-filled church. This was the humble beginning of Tomball Assembly of God Church. The women. Willie May Page and Vera Bussell held tent meetings. Their faith attracted a small but devoted congregation.

By 1939 the growing Tomball Assembly of God Church had purchased land. They built a small one-room church. This simple building stood at 1101 W Main Street. The church still stands there today a testament to the enduring faith of its founders.
