Alexander McCall Smith’s novels mention Tlokweng. Mr. J.L.B. Matekoni is from Tlokweng in “The No. 1 Ladies’ Detective Agency”. He owns Tlokweng Road Speedy Motors. The garage exists in the novels only.

Tlokweng is developing quickly. It offers affordable housing near Gaborone. You’ll find single-family homes. Multi-residential options are also available. Border Gate Mall serves shoppers. Boitekanelo College provides education. Senn Foods has its headquarters here. Several hotels cater to travelers. Motor vehicle dealerships line the Tlokweng-Zeerust highway. Riverwalk Mall and Fairgrounds are close by. These are major business hubs in Gaborone.

Tlokweng provides a glimpse into Botswana’s blend of tradition and progress. It stands as a testament to the dynamic growth. It is a vibrant community. Its proximity to Gaborone and South Africa makes it a crucial part of Botswana.
