Within Fordham University’s Rose Hill campus stands Tiernan Hall. What stories do its walls hold?

Tiernan Hall is more than just a residence. It’s home to about 150 students each semester. The school describes Tiernan Hall as having a warm environment. It is known for its close-knit community.

Step inside Tiernan Hall. It was renovated in the summer of 2007. You will find a large community kitchen. Smart technology lounges are available for use. Study nooks are located throughout the building.

Tiernan Hall provides an intentional experience. This experience focuses on the specific needs of the community. Six resident assistants are available to assist students. A resident director is available to manage the residence. Also a master, Mission and Ministry staff are on hand. Staff from Fordham College at Rose Hill and the Gabelli School of Business are also involved.

Students typically live in double, triple, or quad occupancy rooms. All rooms have air conditioning. Common bathrooms are available for all residents. Standard room dimensions are 14 x 15 feet. Storage space underneath the bed has a maximum height of 26 inches. Mattresses are 36 x 80 inches.

Residents have many opportunities to be actively involved. They can participate in programs and activities within the community.

Tiernan Hall requires all residents to have a meal plan. Housing rates include utilities. Cable television is included as well. Telephone service, laundry, and membership to the Lombardi Fitness Center are also included.

Two students can comfortably reside in a Tiernan Hall double. The Residential College at Tiernan Hall welcomes 150 first year students. It also welcomes transfer students. A small number of sophomores, juniors and/or seniors also live here.
