Clusters of ash-brown dwellings and crumbling roadside shrines add a touch of ancient mystique. Sadly, modern tourist development has impacted some of its natural wonder. Still, Tianmenshan Scenic Area offers breathtaking views. Multiple viewing spots dot the hiking trails. A thrilling U-shaped deck with a transparent floor awaits the adventurous. The walk to this deck takes about an hour and a half round trip. A cable car offers a less strenuous alternative. Reaching the actual site requires a bit of planning. The parking lot sits 1.5 kilometers downhill. From there, you can hop on an electric buggy for a quick ride. The cost is 15 yuan one way or 25 yuan for a return trip. If you prefer a leisurely stroll, the walk takes approximately 25 minutes. If time allows, boats stand ready to take you on a tranquil journey down the picturesque Zi River. Getting to Tianmenshan Scenic Area from Ziyuan requires a taxi ride. Expect to pay around 200 yuan for a return trip, covering the 30-minute drive.
